90 days • 30 blue-space experiences • One winter together
This winter, we're challenging you to get outside, connect with water and do something good for yourself — while raising vital funds for Blue Space Highland.
From 1 November 2026 to 31 January 2027, your challenge is simple:
And here's the best bit — you choose what counts.
You could:
🏊 Go wild swimming
🛶 Get out in a kayak or canoe
🏄 Try paddleboarding
🥾 Walk along the coast, beside a loch or alongside a river
🌅 Watch the sunrise over the sea
🌊 Spend some quiet time beside the water
💙 Try something you've never done before
You don't have to be the fastest, fittest or most adventurous person out there.
There are no races. No impossible targets. No pressure to get in the water.
It's about making time for yourself, getting outdoors and discovering how connecting with blue space can make you feel.
Alongside completing your 30 activities, you can earn extra points for things such as trying something new, encouraging someone else to join you, achieving a personal goal and keeping your blue connection going throughout all three months.
There will also be awards celebrating different achievements — not just whoever collects the most points.
🏆 Winter Blue Champion – for the highest score
💙 Blue Space Spirit Award – for an inspiring wellbeing story
💪 Personal Achievement Award – for overcoming a personal challenge
🌊 Community Award – for helping others get involved
And we're hoping local businesses will donate some fantastic prizes too.
November, December and January aren't always the easiest months to get outside.
The days are shorter. The weather can be challenging. It's tempting to stay indoors.
90 Days of Blue is your reason to get out there.
Grab a friend. Take the dog. Meet someone for a walk. Head to the beach. Paddle when conditions are right. Swim if that's your thing — or simply stand beside the water and breathe.
Every activity counts.
Every adventure is yours.
And every £ entry helps support the work of Blue Space Highland, helping more people experience the positive impact that blue spaces can have on wellbeing.
